The ongoing instability in the Middle East has continued the European migration crisis. European countries dealing with the influx of migrants have faced difficult challenges. In Sweden, the increase of refugees is creating housing shortages, making it difficult to find homes for the incoming arrivals. While in Greece, the Greek Islands are lacking the available medical equipment to treat injured refugees. Additionally, smugglers are profiting from the migration crisis by charging large sums of money to provide transportation to Europe. The dangerous transportation conditions have resulted in many fatalities. As of November 2, at least 435 refugees have died attempting to cross into Europe.
