Liz is a 3L at WCL planning to go into civil legal aid in the western United States. She has experience in civil, criminal, and international human rights law. After graduating from Elon University with a degree in History and International Studies, she served as an AmeriCorps volunteer in St. Louis, MO and Helena, MT before moving to DC for law school. In her time at WCL, Liz has worked with the United Nations Committee Against Torture, been a student attorney with the Criminal Defense Clinic, studied international humanitarian law in The Hague, coordinated criminal record expungement intakes with the Homeless Persons Representation Project, interned with the ACLU-Maryland and Neighborhood Legal Services Program, and sang and danced in the cast of Law Revue. Liz enjoys road trips, hiking, adventurous cooking, musicals, and inserting Mean Girls references into everyday conversation (she’s still trying to make “fetch” happen).
