REDRESS was recently granted leave to make a submission to the International Criminal Court (ICC) an as “amicus curiae” during Germain Katanga’s reparation phase.  Katanga is currently serving a 12-year sentence after his March 2014 conviction for crimes against humanity (murder) and war crimes (murder, attacking a civilian population, destruction of property, and pillaging).  Katanga’s conviction related to his participation in the 2003 attack on the Bogoro village in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
